Why don’t we call our services Physical Therapy?  Because in the state of Texas, that is illegal use of the term!  The terms “physical therapy” and “physical therapist” are protected and their use regulated by the Physical Therapy Practice Act which is governed through the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.

“Physical Therapy” only encompasses services provided to “persons” and cannot be used to describe services provided to our pets.  A Physical Therapist must complete years of post-graduate study, pass board exams, and attain licensure to practice physical therapy and the right to utilize this title.  Ongoing continuing education is required for license renewal, ensuring competencies with updated skills and knowledge.  This depth of study provides Physical Therapists with exceptional knowledge to prevent, identify, correct or alleviate acute or prolonged movement dysfunction or pain; in short, Physical Therapists are experts in restoring comfort and mobility!

Provider qualifications are key to ensure quality care and optimal outcomes for your pets!
